From this news article by the Professional Independent Agents Association of Ohio, on December 22,2013, state minimum insurance requirements for auto insurance are going up!

Present required limits for bodily injury liability is $12,500 per person, $25,000 per accident and $7,500 for property damage liability. These limits have not been changed since 1969. Bodily injury liability will raise to $25,000 per person, $50,000 per accident with property damage liability going to $25,000 per accident.

What does these mean for consumers who carry state minimum insurance? On your present policy the cost of your insurance will also being going up come December!
